2 Woonsocket men arrested for drug, gun possession
WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island State Police said that its High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force arrested two people Thursday for narcotics and weapons offenses.
Demytris McDuffie, 28, and Terrelle Nicholson, 24, were both charged with numerous narcotics and firearms charges including possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of firearms while committing controlled substance violations, and possession of firearms by certain persons prohibited, and large capacity feeding devices prohibited.
State police said that the arrests were the result of an investigation that alleged the two were involved in the distribution of cocaine.
When a warrant for their arrest was executed, a search found a total of eight firearms, numerous extended magazines, approximately 875 grams of cocaine, 80 grams of crack cocaine, nine pounds of marijuana, narcotics distribution materials, and $21,000 in cash.
