Update: Patriots team plane returns from China with equipment for local health care workers

BOSTON- The New England Patriots team plane has returned from China with nearly one million masks for area healthcare workers.
Gov. Charlie Baker will greeted the Patriots team plan at Logan Airport Thursday evening with Kraft and Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito.
Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker announced over a thousand new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing the state’s total to 7,738.
This was the largest spike in cases that the state has seen so far.
Gov. Baker has stressed in his daily press conferences that his state is in desperate need of more PPE.
“As I said before, ordering vital equipment like this is only one part of the challenge and I am incredibly grateful that the Kraft’s worked this issue relentlessly alongside our Command Center staff to get these critical supplies to Massachusetts,” Gov. Baker said in a statement Thursday. “The Kraft’s, our partners Ambassador Huang Ping, Dr. Jason Li, Gene Hartigan and our Covid-19 Command Center personnel teamed up to get this job done and we eagerly await the plane landing at Logan Airport soon.”
