Warm, sunny, muggy weather Tuesday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Tuesday is another winner of a day with summer-like conditions.

Early morning fog leading to mostly sunny skies with a little bit of haze due to the smoke from the Canadian wildfires. Warm air mass will lead us to potential record temperatures around 80 in Providence and 79 in New Bedford.

Dewpoints will climb to the mid 60s allowing for a muggy feel today and tomorrow. Overnight, temperatures won’t be as cool as they were last night. Values in the upper 50s.

Wednesday is panning out to be similar with plenty of sunshine and temperatures around 80. Clouds will increase on Thursday with clouds increasing and temperatures falling to mid 70s.

By Friday, we’ll be under mostly cloudy skies with rain moving in overnight to Saturday with temperatures on the cool side around 70, more seasonable.

Any shower activity should come to an end by Sunday morning with cooler air mass in the low 60s. This cool air will continue in our region with values in the upper 50s and dry on Monday.

New England weather is anything but boring. Let’s enjoy the gorgeous sunshine and warm temperatures today and tomorrow while we await changes later in the week.
