Department of Corrections kicks off officer recruitment

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Department of Corrections is looking for more correctional officers to work at the ACI in Cranston.

The new director says one of her main focuses in her new role is to hire more corrections officers.

The Department of Corrections held a kickoff event Wednesday for their Officer Training Academy.

Governor Raimondo gave opening remarks at the event.
