UPDATE: Providence man in stable condition after DUI pedestrian crash

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) – A Cranston man is facing DUI charges following a pedestrian crash.
Cranston Police told ABC6 that 25-year-old Jacob Travis, of Cranston, struck a pedestrian in the area of Park Avenue and Elmwood Avenue around 10:40 p.m. Tuesday night.
The victim, a 43-year-old Providence man, was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he is in stable condition.
Police said in court that the victim is being treated for skull fractures and a brain bleed.
Travis was arraigned in 3rd Division District Court Wednesday morning on charges of DUI with Serious Bodily Harm.
Bail was set at $2,500 with surety.
The victim has not been identified at this time.
