Fall River police search for man accused of trying to pry girl from monkey bars
FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Fall River police are searching for a man accused of trying to grab a girl from the monkey bars at a playground.
Police were called to the Kennedy Park playground shortly before noon on Monday for a report of a man who assaulted a girl.
The girl’s mother told police that a man tried to take her daughter off the monkey bars while she was playing.
The mother said she had to remove his hands off of her child.
The man then took off toward Broadway.
Police posted a photo on social media Tuesday of a man in a baseball cap and a dark-colored hoodie who they believe to be the suspect.
The department noted the incident does not seem to “fit the traditional hallmarks of an attempted abduction.”
