Worker at used car dealership shot in Johnston

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Johnston Police Department  said that a shooting occurred on Hartford Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

Chief Mark Vieira said that suspect allegedly shot a worker at City Limit Auto.

Police said the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.

The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival and has not been identified.

Vieira added that there is no danger to the public.
