PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A 21-year-old man arrested in East Providence on Wednesday is now being charged as a fugitive from justice in Fall River.

Fall River police said Thursday that Tyler St. Pierre was charged as a fugitive based on an incident over the weekend where he allegedly fled from officers while driving a stolen vehicle.

His arrest came after two people from New Bedford were arrested by Rehoboth police following a chase with a stolen BMW on Monday night.

St. Pierre and the 16-year-old arrested in that case are both considered persons of interest in connection to several Kia and Hyundai vehicle thefts in Fall River.

The alleged thefts are believed to be part of the “Kia Boyz” TikTok challenge.

St. Pierre is set to be arraigned on Tuesday, according to online court records.
