PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – Providence Police apprehended two individuals who allegedly broke into the Olneyville Tire shop on Tuesday.

Police said at approximately 9:00 p.m, they observed two men walking outbound on Plainfield Street, one with a red backpack and the other with a green duffle bag.

Police say the men continued to look over their shoulders in a suspicious manner before they turned down an alleyway out of their site.

As police made their way to the alleyway, they saw one man, identified as 43-year-old Jeremy Hall standing behind a piece of plywood that was covering a window of the tire shop.

Police say the plywood had been pried away from the window frame, giving the men access to the building.

Hall was given commands to get on the ground and was placed into handcuffs without incident.

Police gave verbal commands to the second man, 23-year-old Tyler Nadeau to exit the building or the k-9 unit would be deployed.

Nadeau complied and was placed into handcuffs.

According to police, Nadeau said he used to work in the building was just there for his tools.

Police entered the building and located the red and green bags.

Both men were arrested on 1 count of Breaking and Entering, and one count of Conspiracy, and are being held for the next session of 6th District Court.
