WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Islanders once again collected their Gaspee Days charity license plates on Saturday.

The distribution took place at the Gamm Theater in Warwick and was organized by the Gaspee Days Committee and Rhode Island Department of Motor Vehicles.

“We are so thankful to our volunteers for a smooth event, and to those who got a Gaspee plate,” the committee said.

Gaspee Days Committee Director Judy Hoffman said that plates that were not picked up on Saturday will be available after Oct. 23 at the DMV in Cranston, 600 New London Ave.

Those picking up a plate will need to show a photo I.D. and a current car registration for the plate.

She added that those interested in ordering a plate can do so on the DMV’s website.
