Fatal motor vehicle accident on Pleasant Street in Pawtucket

PAWWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Pawtucket Police Det. Theodore Georgitsis said that a fatal motor vehicle accident occurred around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Police responded to Pleasant Street to find a car that struck two telephone poles 100 feet apart.

Gerogitsis said that the vehicles occupant, a 65-year-old man, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene.

The incident is still under investigation.
