MSPCA-Angell waiving adoption fees for most animals this weekend

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The MSPCA-Angell is waiving adoption fees for many of the animals in its care this weekend at its adoption centers in Boston, Methuen, Salem, and Centerville on Cape Cod.
MSPCA-Angell Director of Adoption Centers and Programs Mike Keiley said that this is the first time the organization has held such a wide-ranging adoption event due to ongoing national shelter crises.
“We’re encouraging adopters by waiving fees for some of the dogs in our care, but we’ve got the opportunity to do more with this event, so we’re including many other species as well,” he said.
Fees will be waived for rabbits, mice, rats, guinea pigs, hamsters, parakeets, roosters, pigs, and some cats and dogs.
The event runs from Friday to Sunday during normal operating hours.
Profiles of adoptable animals can be found on the MSPCA website.
