Taunton PD investigating first homicide since 2016

TAUNTON, M.A. (WLNE) – Police are currently investigating Taunton’s first homicide since 2016. 

On Saturday, January 5th, at approximately 11:15 am, Taunton police received a 911 call for an assault at 9A Wilson Street. 

The injured party was not at the scene when police arrived and had been transported to Morton Hospital and then later med-flighted to Rhode Island Hospital for his injuries. 

The victim, 31-year-old Justin Paulo of Taunton was pronounced dead at approximately 8:30 a.m on Sunday, January 6th, succumbing to his injuries. 

A police investigation from the Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Bristol Country D.A’s office and the Taunton PD continues in this matter. 

No arrests have been announced.
