West Greenwich police make arrest in connection to hit-and-run

WEST GREENWICH, R.I. (WLNE) — Police in West Greenwich announced an arrest has been made in connection to a crash where a car hit and motorcyclist and did not stop.

According to police, the arrest was made Tuesday. Details regarding the suspect were not immediately released.

Officials said that on October 20, a sedan struck a motorcyclist at the intersection of Nooseneck Hill Road and Division Road just after 11 p.m.

The sedan was described as being dark in color, bearing a possible Rhode Island dealer plate.

A witness of the crash said the sedan’s bumper was seen dragging behind it.
