11-year-old hospitalized after being hit by car in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — An 11-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after he was hit by a car in Pawtucket on Tuesday.

According to Detective Sergeant Christopher LeFort, police were dispatched to the area of Division and Pleasant Streets for a report of a child hit by a car.

When first responders arrived to the scene, they said they found an 11-year-old boy who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Hasbro Children’s Hospital for further evaluation.

Officials said the driver of the car involved remained on scene and is not facing any charges at this time.
