Man, woman shot in Fall River, police investigating

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Police Department said a man and a woman were taken to the hospital after they were shot Wednesday afternoon.

According to Sgt. Moses Pereira, police received multiple 911 calls reporting a man that had been shot.

When first responders arrived to the scene, they said they found a man and woman both suffering from gunshot wounds to their chests.

They were both taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their current condition was not immediately known.

Sgt. Pereira added that the scene is still “extremely active” as of 3:30 p.m.
