Attleboro police search for pair of robbery suspects who took off on foot

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — Another Attleboro business was hit Wednesday night amid a recent string of robberies in the area.
Police said two suspects entered the Mutual gas station on Pleasant Street just before 7:30 p.m. One approached the clerk and the other waited by the door.
Both were described as men, wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts with the hoods cinched to hide their faces, and tan pants. They were about 6 feet tall, had thin builds, and were believed to be in their 20s or 30s.
Police said the first suspect walked around the counter and demanded the clerk to open the register. He grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and also demanded a vape pen.
Both men then took off on foot on Holman Street. They were reportedly last seen running on foot in the area of Maynard and Morey streets.
Police said no one was hurt in the incident and no weapon was shown.
It was unknown if the robbery was connected to the series of similar crimes in Attleboro and Rhode Island.
The recent robberies in Attleboro, Central Falls, and Pawtucket have been armed. They also involved a third suspect waiting in a getaway car, a white Kia Optima.
