Massachusetts authorities issue murder warrant for man wanted in wife’s killing

GARDNER, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts authorities have issued a murder warrant for a Gardner man wanted in the death of his wife.

Authorities continued to search for 33-year-old Aaron Pennington on Wednesday. He is presumed to be alive and on the run.

Pennington is accused of fatally shooting is wife, 30-year-old Breanne Pennington, at their Cherry Street home on Sunday morning.

The Worcester County District Attorney’s Office said the couple’s four children left the home and went to a neighbor’s house.

Police found Breanne shot to death in the home.

Pennington left around 9 a.m. in a 2013 BMW.

A hunter found the car abandoned down a wooded trail near Camp Collier on Monday night.

Authorities did not find Pennington after an extensive search.

A murder charge was filed against him in Gardner District Court.

The investigation into the homicide and Pennington’s location is active and ongoing.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911 immediately.
