Wreaths Across America honors fallen veterans in Rhode Island

ASHAWAY, R.I. (WLNE) — Wreaths Across America’s Mobile Education Exhibit national tour stopped in Rhode Island this week.

“The Mobile Education Exhibit provides the unique opportunity for communities to come together and share the stories of those who served and sacrificed,” Executive Director Karen Worcester said.

The tour stopped in Portsmouth on Tuesday and Ashaway on Saturday, and aimed to honor those who served in the military, especially during the Vietnam War.

“I am so thrilled today to finally bring a program to southern Rhode Island to honor our Vietnam veterans,” Daughters of the American Revolution Honorary State Regent Barbara Watrous.
