NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — Rain couldn’t keep a group of “witches” away as they gathered at Wickford Harbor Sunday to take part in the Kayak Center’s Witches Paddle 2023.
The paddle parade started at Wilson’s Park and saw a group of costumed kayakers parade towards the town dock.
The event was open to all kayakers and paddleboarders, and featured a costume contest with prizes for Best Witch, Best Warlock, Best Dressed Pet, and Most Creative.
The event was originally scheduled for Oct. 22 but was delayed due to inclement weather.
