Plainville man dies in Wrentham motorcycle crash

WRENTHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — The Wrentham Police Department said a man died Sunday after a motorcycle accident Saturday night.

According to Wrentham Police Chief Bill McGrath, 63-year-old Dennis Moore, of Plainville, died in the hospital Sunday after an accident on Shears Street.

Official said their investigation determined that Moore lost control of his motorcycle while navigating a curve on Shears Street. The motorcycle left the road, striking several shrubs and then a small tree.

As a result, police said Moore sustained serious injuries and was unresponsive on scene. A nurse who witnessed the accident stopped and gave Moore CPR. The nurse was later assisted by another passerby and first responders when they arrived.

Moore was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The accident remains under investigation by the Wrentham Police Department and Massachusetts State Police.
