Warwick man in federal custody for allegedly sending obscene material to 11-year-old

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Warwick man is detained in federal custody after he was arrested for allegedly trying to entice an juvenile girl into engaging in sexual activity and sending that juvenile obscene material.

According to charging documents, 42-year-old Jeffery Lock Slinn, of Warwick, used multiple online accounts and logins to communicate with numerous underage girls.

Prosecutors allege that beginning in July of this year, Slinn engaged in a series of sexually explicit online communications with an 11-year-old girl in New Jersey, attempting to entice her to engage in sexual conduct.

Slinn was arrested on October 26 and was charged with attempted enticement of a minor and transfer of obscene material to a minor.

He made an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Providence on Friday and was ordered detained in federal custody,

The matter was investigated by the FBI, the Ocean Township, New Jersey Police Department and the Warwick Police Department.
