East Providence man arrested for threatening to shoot multiple people

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The East Providence Police Department said that a man was arrested on firearms and domestic charges.
Kevin Rodrigues was charged with discharging a firearm from a vehicle, attempted breaking and entering, disorderly conduct, attempted breaking and entering, vandalism, possessing a prohibited large capacity feeding device, and obstructing an officer.
The 37-year-old was alleged to have fired a gun in the area of City View Avenue on Oct. 28, as well as having made threats to shoot various people and to engage police in a shootout.
Police also alleged that Rodriguez attempted to break and enter into an estranged family member’s home early on Oct. 29.
Rodriguez was arrested on the same day, and warrants for his residence and vehicle seized multiple items, including four firearms, over 700 rounds of ammunition, and several large capacity feeding devices.
He was later released on $10,000 surety bail.
