UMass Dartmouth Picked as Field Hospital Location
UMass was selected as one of two new field hospitals to combat COVID-19

DARTMOUTH, MASS (WLNE) – UMass Dartmouth was selected as a new Field Hospital location to help combat coronavirus spread.
The University was selected as one of two no locations for field hospitals, with the other being in Lowell.
This is after Massachusetts Governor, Charlie Baker toured a field hospital at the joint military base in Cape Cod on Tuesday.
The hospital will be set up at the Tripp Athletic Center on the Dartmouth campus.
According to South Coast Health, the new field hospital will have 140 beds and will have a similar set-up to the DCU Center in Worcester.
