Fire rips family from Pawtucket home

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A fire ripped a family from their Pawtucket home on Sunday night.

Fire officials were called to the Birchland Avenue home at about 10:30 p.m.

The Red Cross is assisting one family — six adults and one child — after the fire significantly damaged the home.

The houses on either side of the home were also damaged by the flames.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
