Wareham home invasion suspect arrested by state police on Route 24
WEST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police arrested the suspect involved in a home invasion in Wareham after a pursuit on Route 24 on Monday.
Our sister station, WCVB Channel 5 in Boston reports that troopers first tried to stop the suspect on I-495 north because their car matched a BOLO alert for a home invasion in Wareham.
State troopers said the driver continued onto Route 24 when officials tried to get them to stop again.
After coordinating efforts, troopers said they were able to stop the male suspect in his blue Dodge Charger and take him into custody.
WCVB shared footage from over Route 24 as officers were making the arrest where numerous State Police vehicles and unmarked police cruisers could be seen surrounding the suspect’s Dodge Charger.
Delays of up to 30 minutes were reported in the area during the time of the arrest.
