Missing 5-year-old pulled from the water at Roger Williams Park dies
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police said a 5-year-old girl died after she was saved from the water at Roger Williams Park early Thursday.
Police said Naomi Thomas, of Providence, was found in the Swan Boat Pond.
ABC 6 News saw dozens of police and fire crews searching the water at around 3:30 a.m. Cranston crews assisted in the search.

The girl was rescued and brought to Hasbro Children’s Hospital, where she later died.
Police said Thomas left her Babcock Street home wearing a blue and pink tank top and jean shorts at about 11 p.m. Wednesday.
She was non-verbal/limited in her language skills.
The Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth, and Families said that it does not have prior contact with the victim’s family.
