2 arrested in connection to killing of couple in Providence
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Authorities in Rhode Island and Massachusetts arrested two men Thursday in connection a double homicide in Providence in October.
Providence police said Miguel Perez was arrested during a police raid of his home on Highland Avenue in Warwick and a second suspect, Tyler Freeman, was arrested in Norton, Massachusetts.
Police say both suspects are believed to being involved in a double homicide that took place on Oct. 28 on Hathaway Street.
The two victims were from Pawtucket. Police said left behind four children.
“This investigation is solid,” Maj. David Lapatin said. “We believe that we’ve got one shot at this. We’ll put all our evidence together, bring it to court, we’re going to make sure its done right.”
Police added that both men knew the victims.
Both are expected to be in court Friday facing first degree murder charges.
