Car removed from Blackstone River in Woonsocket

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A car that became submerged in the Blackstone River was removed by first responders on Saturday.

Drone footage from Matthew Gregoire shows a dark colored KIA sedan submerged in the river near a rocky hillside at Cold Spring Park in Woonsocket.

Police, firefighters and a towing company were there pulling the car from the water.

ABC 6 News has reached out to Woonsocket police for more information on the incident and are waiting to hear back.
