Woman hospitalized after altercation in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A woman was injured after an altercation on Cranston Street in Providence on Tuesday night.
According to the city’s Director of Communications, Patricia Socarras, an altercation broke out between two women which led to one sustaining non life-threatening injuries.
There was no suspect in police custody as of Tuesday evening, according to the city.

First responders took the victim to an area hospital for treatment.
ABC 6 News crews were on the scene where Providence police could be seen investigating. There was also a bloodied towel in the street.
The incident is under investigation.
