Driver accused in deadly Providence hit-and-run pleads not guilty
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A woman accused in a deadly Providence hit-and-run on Valentine’s Day pleaded not guilty at her arraignment on Wednesday.
Alisha Pina faced a Providence County Superior Court judge after she was indicted last month on the felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident, death resulting.
Pina, 35, is accused of fatally hitting 38-year-old Zacory Richardson at about 10 p.m. on Feb. 14.

She was given a $7,500 bail with surety.
Prosecutors requested a continued suspension of her driver’s license for the duration of court proceedings.
Pina was convicted in July for driving without registration and insurance on her vehicle, and had her driver’s license suspended for 90 days.
Pina is expected back in court in early 2024.
