Rhode Island residents can apply to Rhode Island College for free Wednesday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Islanders can apply to Rhode Island College for free on Wednesday.

Those interested in furthering their education in Providence are invited to submit applications for Fall 2024 and Spring 2024.

College officials said the initiative is to make higher education more accessible.

The college will waive the $50 application fee and help students and their families apply for student aid.

College officials said a decision will be made on the applications within two weeks.

The offer is only open to Rhode Island residents.
