SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — A 21-year-old man was arrested for allegedly driving drunk in South Kingstown.

Gavin Kane, of North Kingstown, was taken into custody around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers were investigating a suspicious vehicle in the Stone Cove Marina parking lot.

Police said Kane admitted to drinking alcohol earlier in the night.

Kane was arrested for suspected DUI after failing field sobriety tests.

He was taken to the South Kingstown Police Department, where his blood alcohol content was registered as .194% and .190% — over two times the legal limit.

Kane will appear in court on Dec. 7.
