Cranston police make arrest after man threatens police with firearm
CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cranston Police Department said that a man was arrested Thursday evening after a standoff on Pontiac Avenue.
Col. Michael Winquist said that police responded to reports that a man with a gun barricaded himself in a second floor apartment and threatened to shoot police.
He added that police were able to get the suspect to surrender peacefully, and that the incident is still under investigation.
