Car drives into Warwick cove after attempted U-turn

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — A man drove his car into Apponaug Cove in Warwick after attempting to make a U-turn.
Warwick Police Major Joel Thomas said that around 8:30 p.m. the driver of the car was attempting to the Crow’s Nest Restaurant when he realized it was closed.
He then attempted to turn around, but drove his car too close to the embankment which resulted in it being pulled in.
The driver was uninjured.
ABC 6 News crews on the scene saw a blue car in the water up to its windows while first responders prepared to get it out.
