Two people struck by car in Narragansett

NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE) — The Narragansett Police Department said that two people were struck by a car on Boston Neck Road on Thursday.

The department said the incident happened around 5:30 p.m., and that both victims were transported to Rhode Island Hospital with unknown injuries.

Police added that the investigation into the incident is still ongoing, and that the driver of the car is cooperating.

“Neither alcohol nor speed appear to be a factor at this point of the investigation,” the department said. “The names of the crash victims are not being released at this time until the victim’s family members can be notified.”
