Somerset Man Arrested for Allegedly Breaking into a Home

FALL RIVER, MASS (WLNE) – Fall River Police arrested a Somerset man after he broke into a house on Saturday.
At approximately 1:00 AM, police were dispatched to Hathaway Commons Road in response to a complaint of a man pointing a gun at another man’s head.
Police arrived and detained 52-year-old Lyndon Campos, who was seated in a vehicle.
According to the department, police located a holster on the passenger floor and a handgun tucked between the driver’s seat and center console.
The victim, identified as a 53-year-old East Freetown man, told police he was visiting with friends when Campos walked-in to their house uninvited and brandishing a small gun.
According to the police, the victim stated Campos demanded repayment of a loan that was supposed to be repaid before April 30th.
A fistfight ensued while Campos was still holding the gun, police say.
After the fight, Campos left the home.
Campos was placed under arrest with charges of:
- Home invasion,
- Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, and
- Assault and Battery to Collect a Loan
