Rally in New Bedford calls for Gaza ceasefire

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — A rally and march calling for a permanent ceasefire to the ongoing war in Gaza was held in downtown New Bedford on Sunday.
The rally was organized by several groups, including the Party for Socialism and Liberation, Massachusetts Peace Action, and Jewish Voice for Peace Boston and Rhode Island.
The march ended at the office of State Rep. Bill Keating, demanding he support a ceasefire.

Organizers said the rally called for a permanent ceasefire, as well as an “end to US funding of genocide” and an “end to Israeli apartheid.”
“So we are calling for a permanent ceasefire, not just a coffee break,” activist David Ehrens said. “We’ve killed enough people and we’re calling for an end to this U.S. funded genocide.”
The event was one of several calling for a ceasefire that have been held since the war began.
