N. Smithfield Walmart employee charged with embezzlement

NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) North Smithfield police have charged a 27-year-old Woonsocket man with embezzlement, accusing him of stealing over $13,000 worth of electronic device from the Walmart he worked at.

A police statement said Rafael Davila Rodriguez swiped numerous Iphone 11 smartphones and 21 Nintendo Switch video game consoles, along with several other devices.

Rodriguez will be arraigned in 3rd District Court September 10.
