Pedestrian has died after being struck by car

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE): A pedestrian has died in the hospital after he was struck by a car in Providence on Sunday afternoon.

The victim was sent to Rhode Island Hospital in critical condition after he was hit on Harold Street

According to Lindsay Lague, a spokesperson for the Providence Police Department, the 40-year-old victim has passed away.

Lague also said charges are pending against the driver. The incident is still under investigation.

The victim’s name has not been released yet.
