3 new dogs cast in Festival Ballet’s ‘Nutcracker’

The Festival Ballet Providence announced Wednesday they’ve selected three new canine cast members.

45 dogs tried out for the spots.

The Festival Ballet judges picked Phoebe, a petite goldendoodle, and Teddy, a Welsh corgi.

The public then voted on a third dog, which went to Bronx, a golden retriever.

The three animals will take turns performing in the ballet and will take the place of 19-year-old Archie, who will retire this year.
