BREAKING: Peter Manfredonia, suspect in CT murders, taken into custody

(WLNE)– Peter Manfredonia, the subject of an multi-state manhunt and suspect in two murders in Connecticut, has been taken into custody, according to a statement on Twitter from the Connecticut State Police.

The statement said Connecticut State Police were on scene in Hagerstown, Maryland. No injuries to law enforcement or Manfredonia were reported. Police plan to release more details tomorrow.

Manfredonia is suspected of killing a a 62-year-old man in Willington, Connecticut, and 23-year-old Nicholas Eisele, before taking Eisele’s girlfriend hostage and fleeing the state, in a rampage that police say began on Sunday.

The 23-year-old hostage had been found safely on Monday in New Jersey, but Manfredonia had managed to avoid police, with sightings placing him in Pennsylvania soon after.
