DCYF: 10-year-old boy hospitalized over possible neglect

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) — The Department of Children, Youth and Families is investigating the case of a 10-year-old boy who was possibly neglected.

Officials said the boy was admitted to Hasbro Children’s Hospital for a chronic medical condition likely caused by medical neglect.

According to the agency, the child’s family had no prior involvement with DCYF.
