RIDOT launches new website for Bristol-Providence ferry service

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation has officially launched a website dedicated to the new transportation service that connects the East Bay and Providence.
Following the Washington Bridge closure last week, RIDOT has collaborated with Seastreak Rhode Island Fast Ferry and the Block Island Ferry to offer free travel services for people having to commute between the Bristol area and Providence.
The ferry service is offered in 30-minute intervals 7 days a week from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
