Door decorating contest to honor fallen Jamestown police officer

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The South Kingstown Police Department announced a door-decorating contest will be held in honor of an officer who was killed by an impaired driver.
Police said that on Thursday, Dec. 21, doors will be decorated at Broad Rock Middle School in honor of Jamestown police officer Ryan Borque, who died back in May of 2016.
The department said Officer Borque was chosen to be honored by students at the middle school as a part of the Victim Adoption Program through Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and Youth Driven.
Judges of the door decorating contest include Rebecca White Bowman, Executive Director of Youth Driven, Matthew Moynihan, South Kingstown’s Chief of Police among others.
Officer Borque’s family will also be in attendance.
