44-year-old man dead, second man injured after shooting in Fall River

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — One person is dead and another is injured after a shooting in Fall River Saturday evening.

According to police, officers responded to 326 Bank St. at 5:20 p.m. after multiple calls reporting that a man was shot.

When first responders arrived at the scene, they said they found a 44-year-old Fall River man who was dead on the front porch of the home. Another person was later found with a minor injury to their hand.

They were taken to an area hospital for treatment and the cause of their injury is unknown, police said.

The Bristol County District Attorney’s office said multiple people are being interviewed in regards to the shooting and no further information can be released.

ABC 6 News crews on the scene observed police officers closing Bank Street between High Street and Oak Street to investigate.

Crews also noticed roughly nine evidence markers scattered throughout the crime scene.
