Roger Williams Zoo celebrates 4th birthday of tree kangaroo

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Roger Williams Park Zoo said it is celebrating the fourth birthday of Keweng the Matschie’s tree kangaroo on Christmas Eve.

The zoo said that Keweng will enjoy leafy treats for her birthday.

Matschie’s tree kangaroos are endangered marsupials native to New Guinea that can grow up to three feat long.

The zoo’s display of more than three million holiday lights will be on display through Dec. 31.
