Las Vegas man charged with stealing car in Dartmouth

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — The Dartmouth Police Department said it arrested a Las Vegas man for alleged car theft.

39-year-old Blake Dickens was charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, uttering, possession of a false or stolen registry document, and possession of a Class E drug.

The department said that around 4:30 p.m. Saturday officers located a stolen SUV at the Best Western Dartmouth – New Bedford on State Road.

Officers said that Dickens allegedly entered the car while it was being monitored and started it with a key.

Dickens was then detained while officers investigated and was ultimately arrested.
