Johnston man arrested on a child molestation charge

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WLNE) – A man was arrested at his home Monday night at his home on one count of child molestation, following an investigation into a sexual assault on a minor.

40-year-old Anthony Paul Cerbo, known for singing locally, was arrested on one count of 1st Degree Child Molestation.

He was arraigned Tuesday morning and was held without bail until his next court date, in December. 

Police urge anyone with additional information on this individual to contact Detective Major Thomas Dolan at Johnston Police Headquarters (401-757-3138).

This investigation is still ongoing.
