Mansfield bridge work to last 16 months

MANSFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — Reconstruction of the Balcom Street bridge over Wading River in Mansfield will call for temporary detours through mid-February.

According to MassDOT, the work is set to begin on January 3, 2024 and will continue for 16 months.

The reconstruction work will go from 7 a.m. through 3 p.m. daily.

Delays and reduced speed are expected for drivers in the affected areas.
